That's an important distinction, because items that boost Cold damage don't boost Frostburn, but Frostburn can be more useful since it will continue to erode enemy health after the first attack. Those sub-types are damage over time effects that keep hurting an enemy after the attack lands. That seems like far too many choices already, but here's the thing: to get maximum DPS potential for your character, you need to stick to one or two main damage types rather than trying to become a jack of all trades.Īll your other decisions will revolve around that damage type, which makes it much simpler to know what kind of equipment to use, which constellation stars to pick, and so on.īrowsing through the list, you may be wondering why Frostburn is separate from Cold, Electrocute is separate from Lightning, Internal Trauma is separate from Physical, and so on. Which two masteries you pick will determine how your character plays for the rest of the game, but rather than thinking of what mastery represents, to make this choice properly you are really deciding what kind of damage you want to deal:

Want to jump into this grimdark, post-apocalyptic fantasy world but feel like you're out of your depth? We've got you covered with a full run down of everything the beginner needs to know, from picking your dual class combo, to placing attribute points and navigating the massive devotion point constellation. I am still fairly new to the game, hopefully this may help others.Unfortunately, it has a bit of a reputation for being difficult to penetrate for new players due to the huge number of potential builds and the wide range of attack and resistance types. If anyone can improve this or just tell me that this won't work or not efficient, please do. I am just trying to help out, maybe this may work, maybe not. You can also just skip "Packla" and farm "The Keeper of Burrwitch" then TP to "Gloomwald Crossing Rift" straight to "Caraxxus" then go for the "Twin Falls Route" then repeat. NOTE: Meeting "Packla" in the Gloomwald Area can hasten your clear time since you can simply TP right away to "Gloomwald Crossing Rift" after killing her unless you want to try to get the troves. Lastly, after getting to the hidden area, highlighted in the map, I suggest to TP to Twin Falls Rift and do a normal Twin Falls Route(With Tower) for a few more chances of Mythicals. You might just lose a chance of getting to Packla or Caraxxus, that's mostly it anyway. If the situation arises, since this is a route I am trying to share for novice-friendly people, I advise is to just stay out of his way and maybe skip that certain area if he is there or just skip that part. The only THREAT in this would be, if you are Nemesis in Beast Faction, is Kubacabra which can spawn in different locations in the given route. The ANCIENT HEART could be obtained in this Route through Caraxxus The Foul which is a Boss inside his Den or from Crab Heroes. The Aetherial Mutagen could only be obtained in this Route through The Keeper of Burrwitch which is a boss near the barrier where you can also yield a few AETHER CRYSTALS/SHARDS/CLUSTERS along the way. The Wendigo Spirit could be obtained in this Route through Packla, The Turning which is a Boss that I have highlighted in the map or from Wendigo Heroes. This will also lead you along the way to a few STUMPS for some Ugdenblooms.

If you can't find anyone to help you get the Coven's Rift open as early as possible in Act 1 Ultimate, you have to finish Act 4 of Ultimate to start this route. I have been joining different multiplayer sessions when I have stumbled upon being spawned at Coven's Refuge, then when I came back to my Single Player session, the Coven's Rift was still open for me since I unlocked it in the MP session. I have discovered this accidentally since my ULTIMATE difficulty progression is only until Homestead. I, myself have used a level 100 Cabalist Pet Build(not full BiS build yet). The time on trying to run this may take a few minutes depending on your class. So, I have made a route that could yield you some mats:Īether Crystals/Shards/Clusters(FEW OF THESE) I'd like to say thanks first to this great community for helping out different people, including me!Īnyways, I was trying to get a hold of different farming routes that may be a bit novice-friendly in terms of your build.
